Railway Station Public Park Chiang Mai
The 47-rai Public Park located in the heart of Railway Station community and is actually right in front of Chiang Mai Railway Station. There was a hotel called “The Railway Hotel”, which was the most modernized and luxurious hotel in the city. In contrast, surrounding the hotel were just rice fields (Toong in Thai). In addition, the hotel was quite far away from the city without any households nearby. Accordingly, it is assumed that “Toong Hotel Road” was named after the Train Hotel in the middle of rice fields. The park is suitable for several activities including walking, working out, running, bicycling, playing badminton as well as walking your pets. The park opens from 6 AM to 9 PM.
